About the St. Vitus Dancers

Our History

The St. Vitus Dancers, formerly “May I Have This Dance”, was formed by Aaron Guerra in 2011. After seeing the dancing and merriment at the “Town Dance” at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival, Aaron saw there was a place for a dance show in Kansas City.

The St. Vitus Dancers performed our first season at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival in 2011, with the members actually being billed as street cast. After a break in 2012 to reorganize, we came back to KCRF in 2013 as purely a stage show, and will be returning again in 2016 for our fifth season!

Local Meetups

The St. Vitus Dancers host FREE local renaissance dance and music meetups in Kansas City on a monthly basis from January to July. These meetups are open to the public, and we welcome all ages and skill level to come and learn something new!  If you can walk, you can do our easy dances! New musicians are also welcome, we provide sheet music for each of our tunes.

Check our calendar to see when our next event is. We also post our events on our facebook page, so be sure to ‘like’ us!

The St. Vitus Dancers are available for hire in the Kansas City metro area if you’re looking for a fun and interactive show.  We’ve performed at birthday parties, dances, farmers markets, and other community events. Contact us to see if we’re right for your event!
